Transport by air of the following radioactive material to, from, through or over French territory cannot be performed without a permit issued by ASN:

• in the case of radioactive material in special form, if the activity transported in the package is higher than or equal to 3000 A₁, or 100000 A₂ , if the latter value is lower than the 3000 A₁ value;

• in the case of all other radioactive material, if the activity transported is higher than or equal to 3000 A₂.

Once a permit has been issued, DGAC and DGSCGC/COGIC must be advised of the shipment at least 48 hours in advance.
